Hearing Loop Information
Calvary Chapel Fortuna has installed a hearing loop, an assistive listening system for people with hearing loss to hear more clearly.
The loop provides clear, customized sound for people who use hearing aids or cochlear implants with telecoils.
This system decreases background noise by sending the sound directly into their hearing instruments when listeners easily switch to their telecoil program.
A T-coil is a tiny wireless receiver inside hearing aids and it is accessible via the programming button or a switch on your hearing aid.
If you have never used your T-coil, it is recommended that you consult your audiologist to confirm it has been activated
and to learn how to access it.
People who don’t use hearing aids or who don’t have telecoils in their hearing aids can borrow a receiver and headphones at the front
church foyer area at no cost. Alternatively, users may bring personal wired headphones to plug into the borrowed receiver (3.5 mm jack).
The receivers have a volume control knob. For more information about assistive listening systems, visit www.hearingloop.org
